Public Works Committee
The Public Works Committee is responsible for making recommendations to the Town Board on matters of building and planning and highways and sewers, Town-owned buildings and property, and public infrastructure within the Town of Brighton.

The Committee is composed of the Town Supervisor and two additional members of the Town Board, one of whom serves as Chairperson of the Committee.

All Public Works Committee meetings are held at the Brighton Town Hall on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. or immediately following the adjournment of the Public Safety Committee, which meets prior to this committee.
Meeting Agendas
Committee members and members of the public are welcome and encouraged to bring matters of public works concern to the attention of the chair or staff for inclusion on the monthly agenda. All such matters to be presented to the Public Works Committee and related correspondence must be provided to the chair or staff by noon on the Thursday preceding the upcoming meeting for inclusion on the agenda. Community members who submit matters for the agenda are not required to be present when the matter is addressed, but are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion as their schedules allow.

The Commissioner of Public Works, staff to the Committee, takes minutes of all meetings. The minutes are provided to the Committee members for their review and approval. On approval, the minutes are provided to the Town Clerk as a matter of public record and posted online.
