About the Board
The Brighton Town Board, in an effort to enhance, improve and expand the level of recreational services and programs, park facilities and general services meant to enhance the quality-of-life for residents, established a Citizens' Board to provide a formal mechanism for the collection and organization of citizen input.
The role of the nine-member Citizens' Board is to provide the Town Board with the best information possible on which to make a decision. The Citizens' Board functions as unpaid staff, and does the research and analysis necessary to provide a recommendation to the Town Board.
The Town Board appoints Citizens' Advisory Board members for three-year terms.
Meetings are the last Monday of every month beginning at 4:30 pm. All meetings are held at the Brookside Recreation Center located at 220 Idlewood Road.
