The Brighton Police Department, fully accredited since 1991, is guided by the philosophy of community policing. A highly trained staff of 41 officers and 11 civilians promotes safety and protects the community. To facilitate mutual aid, the Monroe County 911 system dispatches all calls for emergencies and service to uniformed patrol officers on duty 24/7.
