TOWN AND COUNTY TAX INTEREST ACCRUES BEGINNING FEBRUARY 11, 2010
Reminder If you are paying the Town and County taxes via an electronic check you need to calculate the number of days to have the check sent with a US postmark or reach the office by February 10, 2010. If you are in person you may come to the office on February 10 until 8 PM.

The Town Clerk / Receiver of Taxes is elected for a two-year term.
Duties include:
- Collecting School taxes for residents who live in one of five school districts serving the Town
- Collecting Town and County Taxes
- Issuing a variety of licenses (marriage, dog, hunting)
- Issuing a variety of permits (fire alarm, door-to-door solicitors, hotel / motel and others)
- Serving as the Town Commissioner of Elections as well as Records Retention Officer and Clerk to the Town
