Roosevelt Rd sanitary sewer repairs will begin the week of 5/13/2013 and will continue for about 3-4 weeks. There will not be any disruption of your sewer service, however the road will be closed during the daytime hours where we are working. This work is in preparation for the road resurfacing that will occur later in the summer. 

The Sewer District is currently installing a new sewer line along the south Campus Rd through the MCC property. The new 12" sanitary sewer will allow us to remove 2 pump stations from service.
 

• Phase 1: 2500' of 12" PVC and 11 manhole structures were installed in 2012  
• Phase 2: 1600' of 12"/8" PVC and 11 manhole structures will be installed in 2013
• Phase 2A: Pump station at the corner of Metro Pk and E Henrietta Rd will be taken off-line and removed in 2013
• Phase 3: 1500' of 12" PVC will be installed across the front of the MCC campus in 2014
• Phase 4: 1200' of 12" PVC will be installed across E Henrietta Rd to the Rustic Village pump station in 2015. At that time the Rustic station will be taken off-line and removed.

With the help of the engineering department, GIS and the sewer crews we are updating our maps. The Sewer District purchased a state of the art GPS device in 2012 that will accurately map the sewer system to within 1/2 inch. This will provide for better asset management, extremely accurate maps, and quicker response times.

• The project was started in the fall of 2012 and is expected to be completed in the summer 2013.
• Sewer crews are opening and measuring all of the 3600+ sanitary sewer manholes in the town, and mapping 150 miles of sanitary sewer pipe.
